My Funny Little Boy

Evan, Evan, Evan ~

You are turning into such a character!  Everything you say or do is hilarious!  Here are a few examples from your recent shenanigans :-)

Every day you try your best to get into the basket where our cell phones are and every day we tell you to stay out.  Just the other day you were standing by the basket and you told me "Go mom! Go to living room, I just looking at sumping!"  Of course I knew what you were up too and caught you in the act.

When you watch your favorite shows (Dora or Diego) you get so excited when someone is in trouble.  For example one of your favorite episodes of Diego has a Puma coming after Diego and you run all over and in a circle and yell "Puma!  Oh my gosh a Puma coming!!"  And in another episode some baby animals lost their mommies and you said "awwwee, babies need their mommies"  You have such a big heart!  When you watch Dora and Dora has 3 places to go before she reaches her destination, you are excellent at remembering them and you repeat them and tell Dora where to go. You have a good memory and are learning so much everyday from your surroundings.

You decided after several months of not going potty that you were going to go all by yourself on the big potty.  You grabbed the handrails by the toilet and pulled yourself up onto the seat.  Then you jumped down and got the Readers Digest for some bathroom reading....You are so cute!  You didn't want me or Brianna in the bathroom with you so you kept saying "Go to living room...Pleeaasse!"

When you get excited about something you want to tell us, you do not take a breath!  You just go on and on in gibberish until you feel like you have made your point.

You are always asking "Mom, doing?" or "Mom, going?"  Even if I have told you several times what we are doing or where we are going, you just have to ask!

Sometimes daddy says "Sooo" right before he does something or when he is thinking about how something is done (IE; cooking, computer work, etc) and you have picked that up!  You walk around saying "sooo" at odd times or when you want something.

You are such a clown, always trying to tickle us, or tell us jokes like "guess what? chicken butt!"  and then you laugh and laugh.

There are so many more examples, but Evan, I couldn't even imagine you any other way!  You are the light of my life and my son....I am so proud!  I love watching you grow and change everyday.
Love, Love , Love this kid!

Yo Gabba Gabba Live

We took Evan to the Paramount in Seattle to see Yo Gabba Gabba Live on Sunday and it was AMAZING!!  They really put on a great show!

The pictures tell the story:

My handsome boy, excited and ready to go explore Seattle before the show.

Mommy and Evan

Water fountain across from Westlake Center

He had so much fun chasing the pigeons.....I, on the other hand, was afraid they were going to poop on us!

"I think I can climb this tree"

In front of the Paramount, waiting for the show.
"Here mom, choc-co-late"  I love the way he enunciates the word chocolate!

Muno and Foofa in hand ready for the show to start.
The stage, pre show

Fooling around before the show....he still has no idea what to expect!

And the show begins, he is in awe!
Muno is one of Evan's favorites.  The show was so bight and loud!
Evan and daddy checking out the confetti falling from the rafters.
Watching intently
The Gabba gang
"I Like BUGS!"  One of Evan's favorite songs.
The mayhem during the show....look at all the people and confetti!

Joining the kids in the isle to watch and dance
Taking a break :-)

It's like a neon light show in the background!

Biz Markie was great!
Casper Babypants was the dancey dance guest star.

"There's a Party In My Tummy!" Another one of Evans faves.
Leaf confetti came down when they sang about Fall

Snow confetti came down when they sang about Winter
He LOVED the snow and leaves!  It was magical to watch him :-)

So happy!

He was devastated when the show was over. "Gaaaabbbbbbaaaaa!"  Plus he was EXHAUSTED!  It was a long day.
What an amazing day!  I am so happy that we were able to do this for him and I hope we get to do something like it every year.  It is a wonderful family event and it lets Evan experience lots of new things.

Love my family!

Firsts

Evan had a couple of firsts in the last week......

He has his first pet(s)...4 gold fish.  It started out as one that he received from Autumn fest, but we had decided that that fish needed a friend and they definitely needed a proper home.  So we bought an inexpensive fish tank that had everything we needed in it, Tony found a few trinkets for it from Goodwill, and then we bought 3 more gold fish at Petco.  All 4 fish are happily swimming in their tank and Evan LOVES to stand and watch them any chance he gets.  He also reminds me that we need to feed them, mostly because he really like to do that :-)

Evan took this picture of his fish

"See the fishy's mommy?"

"Hi Fishy's!!!"
The other first for Evan was not so fun.  Evan sprained his ankle :-(  He jumped off the couch and landed wrong.  I saw his ankle and foot bend weird and he cried like never before.  We took him to the ER the morning after it happened because he was still limping and they did X-rays on him.....he was not a fan!  He is still limping today and just last night hurt his ankle again!  We may be back at the Dr. next week.  First ER visit due to injury.....not something I care to remember but it is still something to remember and look back on when he is older!

Watching a movie while waiting for the Dr.
Everyday is an adventure with my boy!

Trick-or-Treat

This year Evan was able to understand how Halloween works.  At first he didn't want to wear his costume at all, even though we had talked about it constantly throughout the month.  However, once he saw other kids in their costumes he thought it was ok.

On Friday the 28th we went to Autumn Fest at Mountain Meadow Elementary with Janel, Cris, Cannon and Colson.  Evan had a lot of fun looking at all the kids in their costumes and eating the candy as teachers put it in his bucket :-)  But most of all he liked the game where he won an actual goldfish.  He was so excited, and I was wondering where on earth we were going to house him until we got him a real fish bowl!

On Halloween, Tony and I took Evan to downtown Enumclaw early (4pm) and we trick-or-treated on Cole street and that was just enough for him.  We got Papa Murphy's pizza and went home and spent the evening together as a family.  We did this last year too....perhaps I see another tradition in the making!

Talking and so excited at the beginning of our walk

He might have seen something scary here....I'm not sure :-)

Taking a break to eat some candy
I love this kid and I love experiencing new things through his eyes.
