December 2013

I am WAY, WAY, WAY behind in my blogging!  Let's just say life with 3 little boys keeps me busy!

I am going back in time to the month of December to recount what the happenings were then :-)

Morgan and Riley climb onto the kitchen table every single chance they get.  They are constantly getting into trouble.  They often really don't care if they get in trouble, they just get right back up with a big smile on their faces.  This is definitely a test of Tony's and my patience!

Elfie the Christmas Elf visited us for the month and every night he ended up somewhere different either leaving a message or doing something naughty. We sure do love Elfie!

Evan and I went on a date to see Frozen. One of the BEST Disney movies I have seen in a long time!

A rare time when we took the boys Christmas shopping and to lunch.  They were so good!

Evan and I made our annual Christmas sugar cookies.  It is one of his favorite things to do!

Evan has quite the collection of "open and close" dinosaurs. (they are Schliech brand dinos that open and close their mouths) He had to have a picture of them all once he got some new ones for Christmas.

December was a fun and very busy month.  The boys were spoiled, we spent time with family and we were happy to relax when the month was over.

Christmas 2013

I am trying to catch up on my blogging and finally am able to write about Christmas!

We spent Christmas this year with Nana and Papa and EVERYONE was there.  It was so nice for all of the cousins to get to play together for a whole week.  They are all getting old enough to start playing together without having to be constantly watched.

Morgan and Riley still didn't quite understand Christmas and opening presents...but they sure loved new toys!

Nana and Papa got all of the grand-kids Nabi  tablets which was a huge hit!  Santa brought Evan a matchbox dinosaur set (which ended up being junk!) and Morgan and Riley got ride on mega block construction vehicles.

The most fun was just spending time together! We spent time at the mall and rode the kiddie train.  We went to the lights of Christmas at warm beach. We saw a couple of movies (walking with Dinosaurs and Evan and Nana and Papa saw Frozen) and we hung out at Nana and Papas and played.

Riley loved his Mickey Mouse from Auntie Stefanie
Train ride!
Christmas lights at Warm Beach
Christmas Eve
Morgan loved the boxes
Evan got a lot of dinosaurs!
Santas gifts for Morgan and Riley
Santas gift for Evan
Catching Evan coming down the stairs before he sees his presents.
Morgan LOVES his new guitar!

 I love Christmas time!

What's Happening Right Now

Our lives feel like they have been so busy!  Our calendar is full before we even flip it to a new month!

 What is happening now....

I have been subbing. Albeit, not as much as I'd like, but I am hoping to get a job in this school in the next year or 2....so I will keep at it! I have been keeping busy raising my 3 boys and also occasionally watching Evan's best friend Lilly and her brother.

Tony has been playing Mr. mom while I am away and sometimes loving it and sometimes not.  Our boys are EXHAUSTING right now!  He also has been working on a lot of projects.  He built me a laundry table.  He built a stacker/organizer for our tablets.  He is planning a train table for the boys and a workshop for himself.

Evan still continues to amaze us in preschool. His name writing gets better every day.  He is obsessed with dinosaurs and Godzilla and recently when I took him to the book fair he skipped over every "story" book and went straight to the non-fiction. He is a fact based boy and only wants the real stuff!

Morgan is learning more every day.  He is trying to say new words and trying to repeat what we ask him to.  He is doing a great job and really taking off.  He loves to climb, jump, sing and dance.  He knows how to strum a guitar and place his hands on a piano....he LOVES music.

Riley is a thinker.  He is putting together 3 words sentences now, like I love you and I'm gonna get you! It is so fun to watch him soak everything up.  He is constantly watching and listening.  When I say it is night night time he finds his cup and Morgans and even Evan's blanket.  When we say it's time to go he is the first one to get shoes for everyone.  He love to jump and dance and wrestle!

It sure is crazy around here and we are drained at the end of the day, but we really wouldn't have it any other way!

Santa Pictures

In November we had the boys' picture taken with Santa.

I love this time of year and I really love seeing the new Santa photo each year and seeing how much the boys have grown.

Man, how time flies!

Tae Kwon Do

Evan started Tae Kwon Do in August and he absolutely LOVES it! He is almost always focused, he listens really well and he is excited to go each week.

We are so proud of him and are excited to see how far he goes.  This is truly a wonderful program for him.

November 2013

I have quickly fallen behind on my blogging and need to catch up!

November was like any other month, just going through the days living, learning and making memories!

Morgan and Riley had their 15 month appointment.  Both are growing nicely and doing very well.  Morgan is 34  inches tall and weighs 29 lbs.  Riley is 33 inches tall and weighs 26 lbs. My big boys!

We tried watching a whole movie with Evan after the boys went to bed. He did very well and really enjoyed his time alone with us.

We went to the Children's Museum in Seattle with Janel and the boys.  We started out going to the science center and when we got there found that it was closed :-( but we had a blast anyway!

Nana and Papa came over for Thanksgiving and we had a blast.  The boys LOVE when Nana and Papa come over.

The day after Thanksgiving I took the boys to Menchi's for frozen yogurt for the first time.  Needless to say, it was a HUGE hit!

A month like any other month. New experiences, new memories and always chaos and fun!

Things I don't want to forget

There are so many things that I don't want to forget about my boys and how they are growing RIGHT NOW!

I want to always remember:
  • How Evan still has his little blanket and how he folds it over his finger and plays with it.  How he knows just by feeling a certain corner that it is his blanket.
  • How Riley says "bless you" every time someone sneezes or coughs
  • How determined Morgan is to climb EVERYTHING especially to get to the computer
  • How much all 3 boys love Katy Perry's song 'Roar' and no matter what chaos is going on, or how upset someone is, all we have to do is You Tube that song and all 3 boys gravitate to the computer and start dancing. I love how Evan knows almost every word, and how Morgan and Riley try so hard to sing it.
  • How crazy Evan is about dinosaurs.  He is OBSESSED!  Right now he is obsessed with the Schleich dinosaur figures that open and close their mouths.  They are not cheap, but he works very hard to save his allowance for them (plus mom and dad make sure he gets one every so often). He can tell you a lot of facts about dinosaurs and is proud of what he knows.  His favorite dinos are T-Rex, Allosaurus, spinosaurus and most recently gigantosaurus. He spends time looking up dinosaur videos on You Tube and enjoys watching videos where other people show and discuss their collections. I don't know how long he will continue to be interested in dinosaurs, but I am loving his passion.
  • How Morgan tells the best stories all in a series of cute little grunts and smiles and finger points. When he is telling on himself for doing something wrong is when he gets the most excited.  He recently had tubes in his ears so he is now producing words to sneak in there and is starting to repeat Riley and me.
  • How Riley is a sugar hound! He shakes and cries when he sees candy or cookies and says "treat" or "cookie" and points to what he wants while jumping up and down.  Poor kid has my sweet tooth!  So far he has the metabolism to support it!
  • How Evan says "absolutely" all the time, even in the wrong context. "I am absolutely NOT going to eat that." "You are absolutely going to have to watch this video" "Oh no you absolutely didn't!" This kid kills me.  Some other things he says are "seriously?!?", "Really?!?" "That's ridiculous!" "You've got to be kidding me?!?" I know where it comes from.....ME...ooops!
  • How Riley dances ALLLLL the time!  Every time music comes on he dances, and with some practice, he could have moves!
  • How Morgan is quiet and mischevious. When all is quiet you know Morgan is either into something, on top of something or in rare (but not out of the question) instances, has left the house.  I swear he is going to kill me!
  • How all 3 boys love to hug and snuggle their mommy and daddy.  How they light up when daddy walks into the room, or when daddy trows them on the bed and they wrestle.  How they wrap their arms around my neck and kiss me with a "mmmwaaaw" sound. How they are starting to wrestle and fight like brothers do and how we are coming to peace with that.  How noisy our house is ALL THE TIME and how we find it annoying and stressful now, but know that we will miss it when they are gone.  We love these boys and just look forward to so many more times/memories/things that we won't want to forget.
